The PERSUASIVE Oral Teaching Kit

The Persuasive Oral has always been one of the more challenging tasks in English. In the new curriculum, IA2 presents challenges that have not been faced before by students. Recognising the pressure on English Teachers with an entire new curriculum, this Teaching Kit has been designed to lessen the pressure with IA2 by providing a complete plan and set of resources to successfully teach this unit.

It is based on a 9-Step process that allows any student to write, prepare and deliver an effective persuasive presentation.

It is accompanied by a Student Workbook that progressively works a student through each step, ensuring they meet all the assessment criteria.

It uses a radically different speech-writing method that helps students to be clear and well-directed, virtually eliminating waffling unfocused presentations.

Students are shown an ingenious way to quickly apply the principles of persuasion in their audience analysis, giving them a relevant presentation in which they can feel genuine confidence.
